Recording Location
TL;DR;
Click here to open a simple page for recording your lat/lng location. It lets you click a large green button as many times as you need to record the location. You can then download the locations as a CSV file.
Background
I created this because on my commute there’s a canal that I take. Along this canal, there are various annoying speed bumps. I wanted a way to record the location of these speed bumps so that I could add them to Open Street Map. I found that the process of manually adding these speed bumps to OSM was time-consuming and error-prone. So, I created this simple webpage to make the process easier. I can have my phone mounted on my handlebars and just hit the large button for every speed bump and then later add them into Open Street Map.
I will probably have to convert them first into a GPX file, but I can just ask an AI to do that for me. Then I’ll be able to import the GPX file into OSM, and then see each of the locations that I have recorded. Then I can add speed bumps for them.
There are probably already tools like this out there, but I couldn’t find one so I created this simple webpage.
